SUMMARY

Responsible for researching, identifying and generating leads on new sales opportunities throughout the US and Canada. Contacts the appropriate agency personnel and arranges for presentations and demonstrations. The ideal candidate will have a command of all products and services and the ability to effectively demonstrate this to prospective customers. The ultimate goal of the successful Sales Manager is to support the field sales organization in securing new business as demonstrated by producing fully executed contracts.  

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Conducts market research and develops a national strategy for business growth by adding new customers.
  • Independently identifies and develops leads for new business at the local, state and federal level.
  • Qualifies all incoming leads and works with regional sales managers to bring them to close
  • Identify and engage quality channel partners at the local, state and national level
  • Support company efforts to evaluate alcohol market opportunities and expand alcohol monitoring product placement
  • Provides customer feedback to management and makes constructive recommendations on required and/or desired enhancements to products and services.
  • Collect and document competitive analysis data including products, services and pricing
  • Manage special projects
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, quarterly meetings and other work-related events.
  • Display a willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Thorough command of all company products and services and effectively demonstrate product.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office.
  • Develop and implement effective sales plans.
  • Drive to take active roll in self-development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work and communicate with Engineering, Production, Customer Service and Management staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a sales team environment.
  • Experience in project management and account management preferred.
  • Highest personal & professional ethics and integrity.
  • Proficient in using NetSuite

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in developing presentation material, making presentations, conducting training and managing accounts.  Microsoft Office training a plus.
  • One year previous sales/account management experience required.
  • Previous experience working with criminal justice agencies desired.
  • Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Communication or a related field or equivalent experience preferred.

This position has a base salary of $83,200/yr.
