Southwestern Territory includes California, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, Alaska, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. 

Candidate should reside near a major airport within the territory.

SUMMARY

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for researching, identifying, and pursing new sales opportunities within a specific assigned region. The Sales Manager will have a command of all products and services and the ability to effectively demonstrate this to prospective customers. The ultimate goal of the successful Sales Manager is to secure new business as demonstrated by producing fully executed contracts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Meet or exceed territory growth targets within established accounts on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Conducts market research and develops a regional strategy for business growth by adding new customers.
  • Independently identifies and pursues leads for new business at the local, state and federal level.
  • Develops and delivers presentations and demonstrates GPS products and software to a variety of customers and potential customers ranging from top management to operational staff/users. This activity includes all offerings and equipment and the demonstration of software.
  • Provides customer feedback to management and makes constructive recommendations on required and/or desired enhancements to products and services.
  • Manages Value Added Resellers to insure maximum performance.
  • Responds to various requests for proposals, invitations to bid, and other acquisition processes in a complete and timely manner.
  • Completes biweekly sales activity reports and sales forecast in a timely and complete manner. Report should summarize all activity during the period and include detailed contact information, meeting summaries, open action items and travel activity.
  • Work closely with account management staff to ensure existing contract renewal
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, quarterly meetings and other work-related events.
  • Extensive travel required – up to 50%.

  • Must have personal credit card to pay for travel related expenses (will be reimbursed).
  • Must have clean driving record.

Requirements

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in developing presentation material, making presentations, conducting training and managing accounts.   
  • Microsoft Office training a plus.
  • Five years’ sales, account management, or criminal justice electronic monitoring experience required.
  • Previous experience working with criminal justice agencies preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Communication or a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
